The person behind the work

I build businesses.
Now I help them build with AI.

I’m Steven Luis Howell — entrepreneur, investor, advisor, and AI consultant. My background includes Whatrr, Once Once Eco Cafe, CropSwap, and consulting and advisory work across emerging technology.

My original portfolio reports millions earned by customers and startups through earlier consulting and project work.

My AI work grows out of the same motivation: find a meaningful problem and create a practical way to solve it. Current work includes AI-assisted digital products, app prototypes, and a supervised website-redesign pilot.

Environmentalism and humanitarianism remain central to my work. Alongside a biodegradable water bottle company, a plastic-free cafe, and an organic T-shirt company, I’ve organized Los Angeles beach cleanups, built a wellness score tracking app, and led Lions for Recovery at LMU for two years.

“I want to celebrate, champion, and inspire change for our beautiful environment, and do this for the rest of my life.”

What I help you change

AI that earns its place
in your business.

Find your highest-value AI opportunities

Map the repetitive tasks, slow handoffs, and disconnected tools costing your business time. Prioritize the changes with the clearest path to lower costs and better output.

Build AI into the work

Connect AI tools and automation to the workflows your team already uses. Start with a focused use case, test it against real work, and refine it before expanding.

Make the change stick

Give your team a practical way to use what we build. Document the process, define human review points, and measure whether the new workflow is actually better.

The approach

Start with the bottleneck.
Build from there.

Being AI native means designing your workflows so people, AI, and automation work together. It can begin with one repeatable process: handling incoming requests, preparing reports, finding internal information, or following up on work.

We look at how the process works today, where time gets lost, and what a better result would look like. Then we choose a focused improvement to test against that baseline.

The aim is measurable progress: less time per task, fewer unnecessary steps, better consistency, and costs that make sense. Human review stays where judgment and accountability matter.

How we work together

A clear path to better operations.

01 / Understand the business

Start with your goals, tools, and the work your team does every day. Identify the bottlenecks and agree what success should look like.

02 / Build a focused pilot

Choose a manageable workflow and test the integration with real examples. Review quality, effort, and cost before deciding how far to expand.

03 / Put it into practice

Refine the workflow, document how to use it, and help the team adopt it. Agree how results will be reviewed and what support is needed.

Scope, pricing, communication, and timing are agreed around your business and the work involved.

Why work with Steven

Business judgment.
Hands-on building.

A founder’s view of the problem

I’ve been building businesses since 19, with experience across 14 listed projects and roles. I approach AI through the realities of running a business: time, cost, customers, and execution.

A clear reason for every tool

The starting point is the work you need to improve. We evaluate tools against that need and consider the ongoing effort and cost of using them.

Practical integration

My current work includes AI-assisted websites, app prototypes, and supervised workflow pilots. I bring that building mindset to turning a business problem into something concrete we can evaluate.

People are part of the system

A workflow succeeds when the team can use it with confidence. Clear instructions, review points, and ownership are part of the approach.

Impact that can be evaluated

We define the outcomes worth tracking before expanding a solution. Time saved, operating cost, and output quality are more useful than the number of AI tools you install.

Frequently asked questions

What does it mean to become an AI-native business?

It means making AI part of how work gets done: connecting it to your processes, tools, and team. Start with a useful workflow, prove its value, and build from there.

Where should my business start?

Start with a task your team repeats often, a handoff that slows work down, or information that is hard to find. We can assess the opportunity, the data involved, and the effort needed to improve it.

How can AI help us save money?

AI and automation can reduce the manual effort needed for suitable tasks and help avoid unnecessary steps or software spend. Actual savings depend on the workflow, adoption, quality requirements, and the cost of running the solution.

Will this work with the tools we already use?

The first step is to review your current systems and their integration options. The right approach depends on access, data quality, technical constraints, and what your team needs to do.

Is this about replacing my team?

The focus is making your team more effective by reducing repetitive work. People remain responsible for judgment, important decisions, and reviewing output where accuracy matters.

How do you handle sensitive business information?

We define what data a workflow needs, who can access it, and which tools are appropriate before connecting systems. Data handling and review requirements should be part of the agreed scope.

How long does an engagement take, and what does it cost?

Timing and pricing depend on the complexity of the workflow, existing systems, and the support needed. We agree a scope before starting and can begin with a focused pilot.

What experience do you bring?

My background spans founding, investment, advisory, and consulting roles across 14 listed projects. My AI work includes AI-assisted digital products, app prototypes, and supervised workflow pilots.
